Enzymes in Boilies – What Proteases, Amylases and Hydrolysates Really Do
Enzymes in boilies are one of the biggest current trends in the carp fishing scene — and at the same time one of the biggest questions of trust among all boilie ingredients. Premium raw materials plus one processing mistake can make the whole biochemical effect useless. The angler cannot see it and can hardly smell it. This guide explains proteases, amylases and hydrolysates in a scientifically accurate way — including why boiling at 100°C destroys all enzymes, why salt fermentation produces butyric acid while enzyme treatment does not, and which three methods really work.

Boilie Attractants – Amino Acids, Betaine, DMPT and Flavour in Boilies
A carp does not find a boilie through scent alone. First it detects dissolved attractants through its sense of smell, then it checks the bait at close range and decides in fractions of a second, inside the mouth, whether to swallow or eject it. That is why a good boilie has to work on three levels: attractant for long-range pull, feeding stimulant for feeding motivation and palatability trigger for final acceptance. Amino acids, betaine, DMPT, natural extracts and flavours all work in very different ways.

Carp Attractants – which scents really attract carp
Carp often smell your bait long before they see it. But scent alone is not enough: the fish has to find the bait, stay on the baited spot and accept it in the mouth. This guide explains which carp attractants really work, when vanilla, garlic, betaine, DMPT, molasses, hemp, liquids, dips and groundbait make sense, and why venue, season, solubility and dosage matter.

Boilie Rolling Machine – Make Your Own Boilies Easily
A boilie rolling machine makes it possible to produce your own boilies cleanly, evenly and repeatably. Instead of relying on ready-made baits, you can adapt the mix, size, hardness, flavour and ingredients to your water, season, feeding behaviour and angling pressure.
From the mixed boilie dough to the bait sausage and finally to the finished round bait, the machine helps create consistent shapes and saves time — especially when producing larger bait quantities or rolling regularly.
The important point: a boilie rolling machine does not automate the whole process. Mixing the base mix, adding eggs and liquids, forming bait sausages, boiling or steaming and drying remain essential manual steps.
For many carp anglers, making boilies themselves means more independence from standard baits and more control over temperature, water type, fish stock and target fish behaviour.
👉 Ideal for anglers who want to feed precisely, present their bait consistently and produce their own carp baits in a repeatable way.

Wafter Boilies – critically balanced carp hookbaits explained
Wafter Boilies are critically balanced carp hookbaits. They do not sit heavily on the bottom like a normal bottom bait and they do not rise like a pop-up. Instead, they behave almost weightlessly with the hook, making them easier for carp to inhale. This guide explains what wafters are, how to fish them, the best rigs, sizes, cork content and when they can outfish pop-ups or standard boilies.

Boilies: boiling or steaming – what really happens and when each method is better
Boilies: boil or steam? Boiling makes boilies firm quickly, but water-soluble attractors such as betaine, free amino acids, GLM extract and liver extract can partly move into the cooking water. Steaming avoids direct water contact, so sensitive ingredients remain better inside the boilie. Boiling works for simple base mixes and large feeding quantities, while steaming is more useful for premium boilies, hookbaits, pop-ups and expensive extracts.

Pop-Up Boilies for Carp – Why They Catch Big Fish, the Best Rigs and How to Use Them
Pop-Up Boilies hover above the lakebed, stay visible over silt and weed and can trigger cautious carp. This guide explains colours, UV activity, buoyancy, Spinner Rig, Chod Rig, Hinged Stiff Rig, Snowman and the right use by season, depth and angling pressure.

Pellets for Carp – Halibut, Trout, Amino & Expander Pellets Explained
Pellets are among the most versatile baits in carp fishing. Halibut pellets, trout pellets, amino pellets, expanders, micro pellets and carp feed pellets explained with sizes, breakdown behaviour, Hair Rig presentation, Method Feeder use and seasonal strategy.

Particle baits for carp – tiger nuts, hemp, maize and fermentation
Particle baits are among the strongest natural baits in carp fishing. Tiger nuts, hempseed, maize, chickpeas, maple peas and fermented particles explained with preparation, safety, seasonal strategy and practical tips.

Carp Bait – Boilies, Pop-Ups, Particles & Pellets
What is the best carp bait? The honest answer: there is no single best bait — there is the right bait at the right time on the right water. Boilies, pop-ups, wafters, particle baits, pellets, paste and Zig Rig explained with seasonal strategy and practical carp-fishing tips.

Carp Fishing in England – History, Legends & the Roots of Modern Carp Fishing
England shaped modern carp fishing like almost no other country. Redmire Pool, Richard Walker, Chris Yates, Rod Hutchinson, Kevin Nash, the Hair Rig, boilies and The Carp Society all belong to a development that still influences rigs, bait, tackle and the international carp scene today.

Kevin Nash – Founder of Nash Tackle and Carp Fishing Legend
Kevin Nash caught his first carp in 1967 – and never stopped chasing them. What began as pure passion became a global brand: Nash Tackle now stands for rigs, bivvies and carp tackle used by anglers across the world. This is the story behind the man and the brand.

Feeding Boilies – What Should Really Be Inside and What Should Not
You’re sitting by the lake, you’ve been baiting for hours — and still no bites. Carp are clearly on the spot. So what’s going wrong?
Most of the time, it is not the hookbait. It is the feed.
Feeding boilies are the foundation of every successful baiting campaign — and at the same time the area where anglers try to save the most money. What really belongs in a good feeding boilie, how much you should bait, and why cheap feed can become the most expensive decision on the bank — that’s what you’ll learn here.
