P.R. Baits: boilies and inflatable boats from Upper Franconia
P.R. Baits is a boilie manufacturer from Burgebrach in Upper Franconia (Bavaria). It was founded by Philipp Resch after more and more anglers asked for his home-rolled mixes. Today, P.R. Baits produces its own boilies and also sells tackle, end tackle and its own inflatable boats.
The motto is “Carpfishing is our Passion”. A team of carp anglers with different fishing styles tests every bait before it goes into the shop.

How does P.R. Baits make its boilies?
A boilie is a cooked carp bait made from flours, protein and attractants. P.R. Baits doesn’t boil its boilies – it steams them in its own steam oven. That way, more of the water-soluble ingredients stay in the bait. Every range contains butyric acid and an extra layer of egg albumen so the boilie stays securely on the hair.
The shelf-life boilies are preserved to food-grade standards and, according to the manufacturer, keep for up to a year. P.R. Baits rolls special sizes from 14 to 35 mm for orders of 25 kg or more.

| Milky Ocean | fishmeal-free: milk protein, GLM and squid extract, micro halibut pellets | instant, turns snow-white under water |

The Baitmaster: fishmeal boilie for big carp
The Baitmaster is the P.R. Baits classic. Around 40 % LT fishmeal, Norwegian fish protein and yeast cultures form the base. Robin Red and beef liver extract provide the attraction, while cold-pressed Black Pepper Oil adds heat. Standard sizes are 16, 20 and 24 mm, with 14 and 30 mm on request.
Saure Biene and Milky Ocean: instant baits without fishmeal
The Saure Biene (“sour bee”) is a sweet instant boilie on a cereal and milk base with a honey cake flavour. The Milky Ocean combines milk protein with green-lipped mussel and squid extract. Under water, it turns snow-white within a few minutes – a clear signal on a dark bottom. Both harden slightly in the water and are easy to bait with a throwing stick.
Feed-Grade and GLM: for baiting up
The Feed-Grade Fish boilies are made for long baiting campaigns and rivers and come in sizes up to 35 mm in 5 kg bags. The GLM is built on the same mix with added green-lipped mussel extract – slightly salty and good for waters with mussel beds. For fruity flavours, there are Feed-Grade Fruit, Fruity Zing and Pink Zing.

Hookbaits, pop-ups and extras
- High-Light Hookbaits – extra hard and lighter than normal hookbaits, according to the manufacturer safe from crayfish, nuisance fish and gobies
- Two-Light Hookbaits – half a boilie plus a fluoro pop-up in one bait
- Pop-ups and mini boilies for snowman rigs and PVA
- Pellets, boilie paste, groundbait and liquids to match each range
- Bait pimps such as the Bloodworm Pimp with red bloodworm (chironomid larvae) from the Red Bloodworm range
Use the boilie paste in cold water in spring and autumn to wrap your lead or hookbait. How to balance pop-ups properly is shown in the article how to use pop-up boilies.
P.R. Boat: inflatable boats for carp and catfish fishing
Alongside baits, P.R. Baits builds its own inflatable boats for carp and catfish anglers. Every model has a high-pressure air floor, an inflatable keel and 1100 dtex PVC with a 0.9 mm wall thickness. They come in 210, 230, 260 and 320 cm, with an aluminium floor as an option.
| Feature | P.R. Boat 230 | P.R. Boat 320 |
|---|---|---|
| Outer dimensions | 230 × 128 cm | 320 × 160 cm |
| Inner dimensions | 165 × 58 cm | 250 × 83 cm |
| Payload incl. motor | 380 kg | 510 kg |
| People | up to 3 | up to 5 |
| Motor | up to 6 hp | up to 15 hp |
| Weight of boat with air floor | approx. 32 kg | approx. 41 kg |

The 230 comes with, among other things, an air floor with a carbon stiffening board, a padded bench seat, a fender set, oars, a hand pump, a carry bag and a repair kit. A boat this size is enough to drop your rigs and steer hooked fish away from snags.

Compare boilies and boats at Carp Austria
P.R. Baits is currently not exhibiting at Carp Austria. You can still compare boilies, hookbaits and boats there – from more than 100 brands in one place.
You don’t buy boilies from a photo – and a boat even less so. At Carp Austria, Austria’s biggest carp and fishing show in Wiener Neustadt, you can smell the baits, sit in a boat and ask the experts directly at their stands. On top of that, there are show prices you won’t find online.
