🔎 Explore current exhibitorsCarp line: Crystal or Smoke?
Your monofilament mainline decides casting distance, bite detection and abrasion resistance. Carp Expert offers two classic lines for this.
Carp Expert Crystal – clear line for clear water
Crystal is a clear, Teflon-coated monofilament. The smooth surface adds casting distance and protects the line against stones and mussels. It suits boilie fishing as well as feeder fishing at range.
Carp Expert Smoke – dark grey carp line with low stretch
Smoke is made for carp fishing and big-fish feeder fishing. Low stretch transmits every bite straight to the rod tip. Wind and current push the line around less, which means fewer missed bites. On the bottom, the dark grey colour is hardly visible. Smoke comes in many diameters and on bulk spools of 300 m or 1000 m.
| Line | Colour | Strength | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crystal | clear | Teflon coating, long casts | clear water, boilie and feeder fishing |
| Smoke | dark grey | low stretch, Teflon coating | carp fishing, big-fish feeder fishing, wind and current |
Rod pod set for jetties, concrete and rocky banks
On wooden jetties, concrete banks or rocky margins you can’t push a bankstick into the ground. That’s what the Carp Expert Advancer Rodpod Kit is made for. The legs of the green rod pod are adjustable in length and level out uneven ground. It stands on natural banks, on jetties and even in a boat.
What’s in the set:
- rod pod for two fishing rods
- two electronic bite alarms with integrated snag bar – they stop the rod being pulled in on a hard take
- two U-shaped rod rests
- two swingers so you can see shy bites too
The set suits boilie fishing, classic ledgering and feeder fishing. For beginners it’s a complete start, and for young anglers a gift that gets them to the water straight away.
Feeder reel and baitrunner: Black Shadow Light and Smart Feeder Runner 6000
Black Shadow Light – feeder reel for picker rods and light feeder fishing
Black finish, gold accents. Underneath there are 7+1 bearings, a spool oscillation system and a precise front drag for smooth running. The reel suits a picker rod and a light feeder rod.
Smart Feeder Runner 6000 – baitrunner for feeder, method and zander
The Smart Feeder Runner 6000 is a baitrunner reel with a graphite body and two bearings. Spool and handle are made of metal and cope with heavy feeders. Gear ratio 5.2:1, with a finely adjustable front drag.
A graphite spare spool is included, so you can switch to a different line diameter quickly at the water. Besides feeder and method fishing, zander anglers also use it when ledgering.
Long-range carp rod: Carp Expert Neo Long Cast
On big lakes, casting distance often makes the difference. Spod rods get the bait out, but they’re too stiff for playing fish. The Neo Long Cast from the LC series is built for distance and still has enough reserve for the fight.
| Feature | Neo Long Cast |
|---|---|
| Test curve | 3.5 lb |
| Blank | IM10 carbon |
| Lead | up to 100–110 g |
| Casting distance (manufacturer) | around 100 m, experienced casters 120–150 m |
| Handle | 60 cm between reel seat and butt end |
| Butt ring | 50 mm with SiC insert |
| Versions | 2-piece and 3-piece |
For long-range fishing you need a reel with a large spool. Monofilament mainline of around 0.25 mm has proven itself, and thinner in clear water. For extreme distances, add a shock leader. The 2-piece version transfers casting power more directly, the 3-piece fits better in the car.
Feeder rod for big fish: Carp Expert Pro Power Feeder
Big carp and grass carp on the feeder rod need backbone. The Pro Power Feeder is made of IM10 carbon and has larger-than-average rings. The line runs smoothly even when dirt and water stick to the rod.
