Who is Zsolt Benzár?
Zsolt Benzár is one of the match anglers Energofish works with to test and develop its products. Besides groundbaits and baits, he has also designed feeder rods and poles. His premium line is called Concourse – made for match conditions where every bite counts.
The Benzár Mix hookbait Jelly Baits has won several awards at the European tackle trade show EFTTEX – including best bait.
Concourse gel and spray: attractors for the feeder
Concourse gel – flavour that stays in the feeder
The gels are syrup-like flavours. They stick well to the bait and stay in the feeder for a long time, so they also attract fish that arrive at the swim later. Strong colours and intense flavours make them effective in matches too.
Concourse spray – a quick boost for bait and groundbait
The sprays dissolve very well in water and are easy to use. A short spray on the feeder or into the groundbait is enough. The flavour cloud works fast – ideal when the fish keep their distance.
Concourse wafters and twisters: hookbaits for wary fish
Concourse wafters were developed for match fishing. At 6 mm, they are small enough for wary fish. They come in yellow, orange, white and pink – eye-catching when colour is needed. They are also available in 8–10 mm.
The soluble dumbells have sweet flavours and feeding triggers. Their buoyancy balances the weight of the hook: the bait sinks slowly and settles lightly on the bottom. Flavours include chocolate-orange, strawberry-krill, coconut and pineapple with butyric acid.
Pellets for autumn and cold water
On fish farms, carp get nutritious pellets in autumn. The Benzár Mix Winter Pellet Box builds on that. The pellets bring nutrition to your swim without overfeeding the fish. The box contains pellets and matching hookbaits.
How to load a method feeder: step by step
- Dampen the method mix until you can form a ball that doesn’t fall apart.
- Thread a wafter or pop-up onto the hair – keep the hooklink short so the bait sits in the groundbait.
- Press the feeder in a method mould. The bait ends up in the middle of the groundbait.
- For extra attraction, add a few drops of Concourse gel to the feeder or give it a quick spray.
- Always cast to the same spot. Every cast builds up your baited area.
Benzár feeder tackle: line, reel and rod
Groundbait needs the right tackle. Benzár offers its own method feeder line and the Concourse Method Feeder 8500 reel. There are also feeder rods such as the Concourse Method Feeder, method and distance feeders, Rapid Method sets with a mould, and feeder side trays for your seatbox.
Which Benzár Mix bait for which situation?
| Situation | Benzár Mix product |
|---|---|
| fish need to arrive at the swim quickly | Concourse spray on the feeder or groundbait |
| fish arrive at the baited area late | Concourse gel in the feeder |
| wary fish, heavy angling pressure | Concourse wafters 6 mm |
| bright colour needed | yellow or orange wafters |
| autumn and cold water | Winter Pellet Box |
Reels, line and rod pods for the method feeder come from the sister brand: affordable carp tackle and feeder reels from Carp Expert. Read more about the manufacturer in Energofish – fishing tackle from Hungary.

Smell the bait and compare: at Carp Austria
Benzár Mix is currently not exhibiting at Carp Austria. You can still compare groundbait, boilies, pellets and attractors there – directly with the bait makers.
You don’t buy bait from a photo. At Carp Austria, Austria’s biggest carp and fishing show in Wiener Neustadt, you smell the flavours, feel the pellets and get advice on what works when. Plus show prices you won’t find online.
