The people behind Catfanatika: personal support, fishing together and direct contact at the camp.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n The camp is run by brothers Mathias and Jens Suppan<\/strong>, both team anglers for Mad Cat Germany, together with Mario Carle<\/strong>, who looks after organisation, bookings, scheduling and many other tasks around the camp.<\/p>\n\n
Catfanatika deliberately doesn’t want to be an anonymous fishing provider. Personal contact, straightforward support and a family atmosphere are as much part of the concept as the boats, the gear and the fishing itself.<\/p>\n\n
This approach is especially useful if you don’t know the Po yet. The river is vast, changes with water level and current, and calls for different decisions than a small, manageable lake.<\/p>\n\n

The river’s fish stock also includes zander, barbel, asp and black bass<\/strong>. That can make the Po interesting for groups where not everyone wants to target the same species.<\/p>\n\n

On a big river, the boat is a key part of the fishing \u2013 Catfanatika offers different options, from a compact inflatable to a large motorboat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
Ready for the next session: one of the Catfanatika boats moored up on the Po, ready to go.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n The current K-MAXXI-XXL<\/strong> measures around 5.70 \u00d7 2.10 metres and comes with a 40 hp Yamaha engine. A custom-built sleeping area with mattress is already fitted, which makes longer sessions on the boat easier.<\/p>\n\n
As a more compact alternative, there’s an inflatable boat of about 3.20 metres with a 9.9 hp Yamaha outboard and fish finder<\/strong>. That way you pick the right boat size for your fishing style and plans.<\/p>\n\n
If you’d rather bring as little of your own gear as possible, you can also go for an all-inclusive package<\/strong>. It currently includes, among other things, the K-MAXXI-XXL, a boat tent, six ready-to-fish rods, tackle boxes, a portable power station and a small electric cool box.<\/p>\n\n
